Who We Are

Author/Educator Cole E. Thomas founded AGenda Benda as an underground Leather accessories company to promote indie ideas around sexual freedom and queer identity. AGenda Benda expanded into a platform using art - acting, drag king performance, modeling, writing, fashion design, spoken word poetry, even erotic arts - to conveying messages about self-care, inclusion, belonging, and family mental health. From there, Cole created campaigns that center masculine women's sexual health. Marginalized individuals and families of color sharing support with genderqueer, lesbian, other-abled, and aging folks with limited access to preventive healthcare remain AGenda Benda's target population.

Justice: We Watchdog

Building Community Trust

With our organization’s mission  in mind, we designate one community NGO annually and follow their media, their events, their online advertising and their annual reports. Since we want to help our followers and subscribers find resources, we want to refer to ethical organizations. The objective of "watchdogging" is to compare and contrast advertised service to actual service accessibility. For example, AGenda Benda inquires about grants and public funding to better understand how it is used. We want to ensure NGOs are keeping their commitment to the community they serve. If not, why not? Priority is given to agencies receiving grants to serve BIPOC and LGBTIQ+ communities.

In the spirit of Sankofa, we must go back & get folks laying in the ditches of healthcare disparity. When we create a proper space & support access to trustworthy care, they will come.
